Lauburu
The origin of the Basque Lauburu is uncertain but it is believed that to be Celtic or even of ancient Indo-European peoples. This mystical symbol can be found in countless cultures spanning the Far East, the Pacific Islands and a large part of Europe. The Lauburu (LAU = four; BURU=head), represents the four elements of creation: water, earth, air and fire. It channels the energies that make up the universe and the struggle of light against darkness.
